Surgery Scheduled
Hey. Thank all of you for your continued prayers for me as I’ve awaited the doctor’s phone call about surgery. The nurse called this morning and said I could choose between this Friday (tomorrow) or Monday, and so I chose tomorrow. So we’ll be there @ 7:30 a.m. at the Heart & Vascular Center on the 6th Floor of the North Pavilion of UAB Hospital. There’s a waiting room on the 6th floor for Jim to wait. Hopefully they’ll get started around 8:30-9:00. Said I will just be heavily sedated and not under general anesthesia.
Thank you all for your prayers for me today, tonight, and in the morning as I need God’s peace and calm to get me there in the morning. I’ve got to go explain to the kids where we’ll be and what’s going on, so please pray also for Corban and Reyna. Margaret (Gigi), Jim’s sister, is going to keep them for the night, so they’ll be well taken care of. Hopefully if all goes well, we’ll be home by lunch on Saturday. In some cases they send you home the same day, but I don’t think I’ll be rushing home after having my heart fiddled with
I love you all and thank you again for your love and prayers. If you don’t see someone on the list and you know they’d want to know about my surgery, please forward this to them. I don’t have a lot of addresses for church members or extended family.
