News re the family of Uncle Philip & Aunt Christine

We’ve received a very newsy letter from Parley Philip Johnson, Jr. (son of Parley Philip, Sr. and Christine Fail Johnson - Uncle Philip and Aunt Christine) regarding that family. Last Saturday, he and his brothers, Seth Herbert and David Henry, and his nephew Brady (David’s son) met at their sister Carol Johnson Blair’s house for a short visit. They then went to Auburn for the Ball State vs. Auburn football game. Parley says,

We had a great time, food was good and AUBURN WON over Ball State!!!... It rained, but it only rained on the BALL STATE side of Jordan-Hare stadium. We really appreciated the fact that we were in the South Club since it was covered and prevented us from getting wet.

He also shared the following news about his brothers and sister, his mother (Aunt Christine), and his children - SGT. Parley Philip Johnson, III ( Tracey), CPL Luke McIntyre Johnson, and Callie Elizabeth Johnson Graham - and their families. Be sure to note new contact information.

*David Henry and his family have moved to Cairo, GA where he is an assistant football coach for the Cairo Georgia Syrupmaker football team. He is also teaching History. His wife Diana also is teaching at Cairo, GA.

Oh yes, Carol and Mama have moved to a new home off Bell Road up near the Atlanta Highway in Montgomery. Turn south off the Atlanta Highway onto Bell Road, then turn left onto Bell Court, their home is on the corner of Bell Court & Charleston Court North.

Our son, SGT. Parley Philip Johnson, III ( Tracey) has graduated the USMC US Embassy Security Guard course and will be serving at the US Embassy in BOSNIA. The school was very rigorous with 50% of his class washed out but he made it. Bosnia is a new country that was formed from Yugoslavia when it broke apart after ( the dictator) Tito died. He will serve in Bosnia for about a year then transfer to another embassy.

Our son, CPL Luke McIntyre Johnson is training hard at Camp Pendleton, California preparing for a spring 2010 deployment with the 1st Marine Division when they go to AFGHANSITAN. He is enjoying southern California and his new Jeep.

Our daughter Callie Elizabeth [Graham] and grandson Kaden Michael are coming home for a visit this month. Joey Our son-in-law is stationed at MCAS New River (Jacksonville, North Carolina on the Atlantic coast). We are looking forward to seeing them.
