On Saturday, 12 September 2009, Vaunita Lynn (“Nita”) Cohen and Ravi Singh Parihar were married in the bride’s hometown of Americus, GA. It was a lovely outdoor wedding at the Lee Council House, a beautiful old Victorian home in historic Americus. Among the flower girls and ring bearers were Nita’s nieces and nephews - Laura Kathryn, Gwendolyn Lynn, and Jeanne Marie Cohen [daughters of David and Michelle (“Shelley”) Cohen] and Spencer Cohen and Samantha Cohen (son and daughter of Arthur and Jenny Cohen). David and Arthur are brothers of the bride. Also, Nita’s Uncle Pete (Orson L. “Pete” Johnson) was one of the officiants of the wedding.

Nita is the daughter of Arthur Ferdinand (“Ferd”) and Mildred Gwendolyn (“Millie”) Johnson Cohen and granddaughter of David Glenn and Vaunita Oswald Johnson (Uncle Dave and Aunt Vaunita).
